Three prominent features formed the centre of this museum-style installation at Zürich main station. A 30-metre bench made from pallet frames sat at the heart of the activation, reflecting the slogan «Stay a little bit longer». A giant banner hung high in the station hall, visible from afar. Illuminated walls 4 to 5 metres tall created a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Taking a «more is more» approach, we used the scale of the station hall from top to bottom: the XXL banner overhead and the exhibition structures and bench at ground level.

A framework based on five senses
Our five-senses approach provided the theme, taking visitors on a journey through smell, touch and sound. To convey Germany’s variety as a travel destination, we went beyond striking pictures of its regions.

We deliberately engaged the senses: scents brought landscapes to life; headphones played forest sounds and opera; different floor surfaces and wind evoked the North Sea through touch. Moving images added to the visual experience. For taste, visitors received an apple with a greeting from SBB.

The museum-style walls served two purposes: attracting attention from a distance and providing information through text, images and QR codes.

The digital Glücksrad drew station passers-by towards the stand. With 2,000 rounds played in a single day, it proved a strong attraction.

made took our objectives, including reusing elements already developed, and delivered them through a mix of new ideas and proven solutions, producing a result that delighted us.
