For the 40th anniversary of Leibstadt nuclear power plant, we worked with a KKL working group to develop a visitor experience for the public celebration on site. Four stations offered an engaging, educational journey through the power plant, inviting visitors to explore different aspects of its operation interactively.

Interstellar
An infinity mirror room took visitors into space, tracing the formation of stardust and uranium’s cosmic journey to Earth. Guests learned how a rare event billions of years ago laid the foundations for the fuel used today.

Klima-Power
This station made energy technology tangible. «Switzerland’s most powerful engine, at 1.7 million horsepower, produces climate-friendly energy in Leibstadt» was the message of this stand element. A game helped visitors understand how different types of power plant affect carbon emissions.

Jobs@KKL
This stand showed the range of careers at KKL and offered information for people interested in working there. In short video clips, employees from different departments described their daily work, giving insights into the opportunities at KKL.

Innovation
In the Innovation Lab zone, visitors encountered technologies already in use at the plant, including a robot dog that navigates obstacles, drones and 3D printing. The station showed how KKL applies new technology in its operations.
