At a glance
- Italian piazza for Birra Moretti at the Street Food Festival on Zürich's Hardturm site, with a concept by jim & jim
- Container fitted out in Busslingen; scaffolding, timber and windows added to the facade on site
- Piazza with a boccia court and seating, finished by a decorative designer and a mural painter
- At its heart: a container bar with vintage tiles and pink neon lettering
made’s brief was to deliver jim & jim’s Italian piazza concept as authentically as possible and at very short notice.

It quickly became clear that the weather needed to cooperate when the containers arrived and the Birra Moretti house was clad with scaffolding, timber and windows. Otherwise, the activation risked being washed out before it even reached the Hardturm site in Zürich.
At our Busslingen storage site, both the Adriano Celentano playlist and the made team were working overtime. We planned, designed and partly built the container interior, the whole facade and the piazza with its boccia court and seating in parallel.
Once the interior was finished, the container travelled by heavy transport to the site, where assembly and facade cladding had to take place. Two things were particularly unwelcome: rain and a fear of heights.

For added authenticity, decorative designer Monelle and a mural painter brought detail and life to the piazza and facade.
The container bar became the heart of the activation, combining real vintage tiles with pink neon lettering: a meeting of Dolce Vita and Italian pop.
