Migros is touring Swiss shopping centres with its iMpuls stand until the end of October. The aim is to raise awareness of health and fitness through play and introduce more people to the iMpuls health platform.

iMpuls Roadshow – made developed and delivered the activation in 15 shopping centres.
Some people like to take it easy; others cannot get enough of working up a sweat. They all have their own approach to exercise. At the Migros iMpuls stand, visitors can explore theirs: How fit am I? What could I improve? How can I fit more movement into everyday life?
The live campaign for iMpuls, Migros’s new health initiative, introduces exercise in an entertaining way, without lecturing. Alongside nutrition, relaxation and medicine, exercise is one of the 4 main topics covered by iMpuls. The stand centres on three elements developed specifically for the campaign: a reaction wall, a Glücksrad prize wheel and an activity-type quiz.
Migros’s brief was to combine familiar activities, such as the Glücksrad, with movement to create a new, preferably physical challenge. A SportXX fitness stepper was adapted so that energetic stepping improved the chances of winning on the wheel. «The challenge was to make younger and older visitors, both relaxed and athletic, want to try the different stations. That took a lot of thought and experimentation. We are convinced by the result, which creates a whole experience around iMpuls,» says Désirée Poffet of Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund.
Glücksrad with a twist – stepping and sweating improve the chances of winning.
At the reaction wall, visitors test their reflexes, controlling the game through sensors in the floor. With a little skill, they can win a relevant giveaway, such as a skipping rope or water bottle.
Reaction wall – the iMpuls game programmed by made challenges visitors’ coordination.
A step counter connecting the campaign
The step counter runs through the whole stand and campaign. A prize draw for 50 Fitbit devices provides an extra incentive to take part.
Based on their results in the activity-type quiz, visitors take home practical tips printed on a receipt. Back at their computer or smartphone, the iMpuls Coach helps them lose weight and get fitter. More than 20 themed programmes offer varied approaches to a healthier daily routine.
Migros’s contribution to a healthier Switzerland
Launched in September on migros-impuls.ch, the iMpuls Coach is part of Migros’s new health platform. Through iMpuls, Migros aims to contribute to the health of people in Switzerland. The website offers tips, a range of services and practical support to inspire a healthy lifestyle. Until the end of October, the platform is supported by live activations in 15 shopping centres across Switzerland.
