For Christmas 2025, we developed a retail activation for Zürich Airport to increase sales in Airport Shopping and add an emotional element to the shopping experience. «Receipt to Play» turned a receipt into a game ticket: anyone shopping at a participating store could join our Christmas fairy for a purpose-built game of chance. Prizes included airport shopping vouchers and chocolate hearts. A small wish encouraging mindfulness served as a friendly consolation prize.

The activation combined gamification, POS marketing and seasonal sales promotion.

The promotion ran for around six weeks, seven days a week, including the holidays. Although the stand was in an area with lower footfall, the staging made it visible: Christmas fairies wore oversized mirrored wings and moved through the shopping centre, drawing attention to the activation.

The results were measurable: more than 20,000 plays were recorded, equivalent to over three games per minute during operating hours.\
A poster campaign supported the activation at several locations in Airport Shopping and in participating stores.
